Unit Technician, Nights
Job Requirements
Shift - Nights Work Schedule - 7:30p-8:00a, 3shifts/per week, 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
The Unit Technician (UT) provides clerical support such as assembling and maintaining patient charts, completing admission and transfer/discharge forms, updating pertinent information in the MD state system. UTs are also responsible for greeting visitors, answering phones, relaying calls and messages, providing routine information. He/she performs cleaning for all equipment on the unit and maintains adequate supply levels in designated carts. He/she stocks supplies, orders special supplies, and ensures efficient and timely pickup and delivery of unit associated goods, supplies and transport of labs as needed.
Work Experience
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Licensure/Certification/Registration Required: Graduate of high school or GED program Preferred: some post-secondary education Other: Education/Knowledge (see attached explanation sheet) Attained Level: Requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions normally acquired through a high school education high school graduate Preferred: some post-secondary education Applicable Experience Experience (years):1-3 years Experience (describe required & preferred): Unit Clerk or Office manager or similar position in healthcare setting or equivalent.
