Chief Engineer at Providence Milwaukie Hospital- Full-Time, Day Schedule

The Chief Engineer supports the environment for the safe delivery of health care services, and helps maintain a safe environment for patients and employees. The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing and supervising the safe operation and maintenance of the facility utility systems and equipment assigned to the department.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.



• Experience using a personal computer in a Windows environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Completion of an approved apprenticeship program. Or equivalent educ/experience



• 5 years of work experience in central plant operations and maintenance.



• 5 years of Supervisory experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
