Today, DIA supports 21 intercollegiate varsity sports which compete as a part of the Big Ten Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association. DIA provides the resources for over 500 student-athletes to participate at the highest levels of their respective sports. This extensive support ecosystem includes over 35 departments employing over 300 dedicated staff members including 80 plus varsity coaches working collaboratively to provide individualized championship-caliber opportunities to our student-athletes, in the classroom, in the competitive arena, and in personal and professional development, to enhance their growth and life preparation. Certification by National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC), and continued compliance of continuing education requirements established by the NATABOC. Licensed, or licensure eligible, by the State of Illinois, by the Department of Professional Regulation. </p><h4> Preferred Qualifications</h4><p>Master’s degree in athletic training or related field. Experience as a certified athletic trainer in a collegiate setting.<br>High moral and ethical standards.</p><h4>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h4><ul><li>1. Maintain NATABOC certification and state licensure through regular attendance of continuing educational programs and compliance of continuing educational requirements established by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA-BOC).2. Knowledge of concussion testing and evaluation as it relates to the health of male and female student-athletes. 3. Maintain appropriate Occupational and Safety, Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines for the DIA Sports Medicine Department. 4.
