We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Basis Manager to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of SAP landscape services across projects and steady-state operations. This role combines Basis architecture, governance, and delivery management, with accountability for system stability, performance, security, and compliance, working closely with AMS partners and cross-functional IT teams. The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end ownership of SAP Basis and Security operations, ensuring high availability, optimization, and alignment with enterprise digital transformation initiatives.<h2></h2><h2>Position</h2>Senior SAP Basis Manager & Architect<h2></h2><h2>Location</h2>Hyderabad (SAL) IN<h2>How You'll Create Possibilities</h2>Key Responsibilities1. SAP Basis Architecture & Strategy<ul><li>Define and own SAP landscape architecture (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, BTP integrations, etc.)</li><li>Lead architecture decisions for cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), hybrid, and on-prem environments</li><li>Design scalable, resilient, and high-availability solutions including DR strategy (HA/DR, backups, failover)</li><li>Drive automation strategy (system refresh, monitoring, patching, deployments)</li><li>Ensure alignment with enterprise cloud, security, and infrastructure standards</li></ul>2. Project Delivery Leadership<ul><li>Lead SAP Basis activities for implementations, upgrades, migrations (e.g., S/4HANA conversions), and rollouts</li><li>Define deployment strategies, cutover planning, and release management</li><li>Collaborate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end delivery</li><li>Govern integration points (e.g., Salesforce, IoT platforms, middleware)</li><li>Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgets</li></ul>3. AMS & Operational Management<ul><li>Oversee daily SAP operations including:<ul><li>System monitoring</li><li>Performance tuning</li><li>Incident/problem management</li><li>Transport management</li></ul></li><li>Manage and govern AMS partner teams:<ul><li>Define SLAs, KPIs, and service quality metrics</li><li>Conduct regular service reviews and performance evaluations</li><li>Ensure continuous improvement and cost optimization</li></ul></li><li>Drive runbook standardization and automation</li></ul>4. SAP Security & Compliance Oversight<ul><li>Provide leadership for SAP security architecture and governance</li><li>Ensure compliance with SoD (Segregation of Duties), audit, and regulatory requirements</li><li>Oversee:<ul><li>User access management</li><li>Role design and provisioning</li><li>Security audits and remediation</li></ul></li><li>Collaborate with GRC / audit teams to implement control frameworks</li></ul>5. Performance, Stability & Optimization<ul><li>Own system availability, uptime, and performance SLAs</li><li>Lead capacity planning and performance tuning initiatives</li><li>Proactively identify risks and implement preventive measures</li><li>Drive adoption of monitoring tools (Solution Manager, Focused Run, third-party tools)</li></ul>6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management<ul><li>Act as primary point of contact for AMS vendors and SAP partners</li><li>Coordinate with:<ul><li>Infrastructure / Cloud teams</li><li>Cybersecurity teams</li><li>Application owners</li></ul></li><li>Provide executive-level reporting and dashboards</li><li>Manage contractual obligations and vendor deliverables</li></ul>7. Governance & Best Practices<ul><li>Define and enforce Basis and security standards, policies, and procedures</li><li>Drive ITIL-based service management practices</li><li>Ensure documentation, knowledge management, and process maturity</li></ul>Lead continuous improvement initiatives and innovation programs<h2>What You'll Bring to Our Team</h2>Required QualificationsExperience<ul><li>12–18+ years of SAP experience<ul><li>in SAP Basis leadership/management roles</li><li>Experience in SAP architecture design across large enterprise landscapes</li></ul></li><li>Proven experience managing AMS vendors and offshore teams</li><li>Strong exposure to S/4HANA programs (upgrade/migration/conversion)</li></ul>Technical Expertise<ul><li>Deep knowledge of:<ul><li>SAP Basis administration (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CPI or PI/PO, Fiori)</li><li>HANA DB administration</li><li>OS/DB (Linux, Windows, Oracle, HANA)</li></ul></li><li>Experience in cloud platforms (Azure preferred given your environment)</li><li>Familiarity with:<ul><li>SAP Solution Manager / Focused Run</li><li>SAP security & GRC</li><li>Transport and release management tools</li></ul></li></ul>Leadership & Functional Skills<ul><li>Strong people and partner management skills</li><li>Excellent stakeholder communication, including senior leadership</li><li>Ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on problem solving</li><li>Experience in global delivery models</li></ul>Key Success Metrics<ul><li>System uptime and availability (SLA adherence)</li><li>Incident reduction and MTTR improvement</li><li>Successful project delivery (on-time, on-budget)</li><li>Security compliance and audit outcomes</li></ul>AMS partner performance and cost efficiency<h2>Our Culture</h2>Our work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
