What Facilities Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Facilities & Real Estate plans and directs facility maintenance and food services as well as real estate activities including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and property development.

Facilities Management ensures the reliable operation of the organization's facilities. This job family refurbishes and performs preventative maintenanceand repairs to companyfacilities, which include electric maintenance, mechanics, carpentry and masonry, and equipment installation. This job family may also manage contractors that provide facility maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Repairs:Perform basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting to maintain the facility's appearance.
• Basic Plumbing & Electrical:Handle minor plumbing issues (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains) and basic electrical tasks (e.g., replacing light bulbs, fixtures, or switches).
• Work Order Management:Receive, prioritize, and complete daily maintenance tickets and requests from employees.
• Facility Inspections:Conduct routine walkthroughs of the building and grounds to identify and report any safety hazards or repair needs.
• Office Support:Assist with moving office furniture, assembling equipment, and setting up meeting rooms for events.
• Vendor Assistance:Escort and assist external contractors or vendors when they are on-site for major repairs or specialized maintenance.
• Safety Compliance:Ensure all maintenance work complies with Cardinal Health safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience, preferred
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
